New things around the House

Forgetting we haven't downloaded pictures from our digital camera, I found a few pictures that are of the house.

These are our new couches :). We love 'em, and so does Dixie. They are the microfiber material. The furniture sales gal convinced me to do the Scotchguard protectant stuff :). We finally got the plantation blinds (2" ones) over the weekend, so Mike will be working on that project between now and Christmas.

Ok, this is my favorite part of the nursery so far. We found this rug one Sunday afternoon when we were not even looking for it. It looks really bold now, but once everything is in the room and done, it looks SO CUTE!!! Even Mike is excited about the rug. Anna Kate's room was the first room to get the plantation blinds, but I haven't gotten a picture of that just yet. We also hung the valance and waiting for the curtains to arrive. We'll wait until everything is done posting another update picture.

Dixie is so desparate to see her new place...she's always trying to get outside or sniff around any open window. We had AK's window open to air out the paint fumes. This dog cracks me up :).

Another great OB visit

Just left my wonderful doctor's office (he is the greatest!) with another good report. He also gave me clearance to fly, again, since I didn't have any problems doing so 10 days ago. So, I know Ryan & Kapi will be happy to hear that we're able to fly to Birmingham for the wedding. His only gripe is me staying off my feet, since they are swelling a bit.

I am getting into the every two weeks mode right now as far as check-ups, so my next appointment--with another ultrasound!!--is December 12. Hey, no arguments from me! Anytime I can see this lil one on the screen, I am happy to oblige. I just wish it was before the wedding so, we could share the pictures while in town for the wedding. Oh well. Guess I will just have to post them here :).

The tree at home is still undecorated. We hope to finish both the outside decorations and inside stuff either tonight or tomorrow. Yes, I will post pictures!

So who does Anna Kate look like?

Well, AK wasn't as cooperative has we had hoped (probably the first of many, many situations) but we got a few great shots of her. The ultraound tech said that she moved more than any other baby she had seen. Most people only wish they had the gymnast we do. At first she was turning her back to us (my child-camera shy? Doubt it!), but they we 'bribed' her to look at us. Mike said I was started WAY too soon on that.

Anna Kate liked to keep her feet up and hands near her face. She typically seems to rest high and on my left side. Most of the punches are aimed for the right side...makes sense, huh?

So who do you think she looks like? Not sure where the lips come from, but I am thinking more of the Mike's side more than mine. Too, it's hard to see who's nose she's got. She does have some hair, but it's more like fuzz than hair. Don't worry, we still have 10-12 weeks to go before her debut. No doubt that she will grow some in the meantime. An old wives tale says that the more heartburn a baby gives you, the more hair. If that's the case, she should have PLENTY of hair with this child is born!!

Well, we are at 28 weeks, only 12 left until her February due date! I am feeling great! I had two really good days, and my only complaint is the inability to sleep. Guess I am being well trained in that category. Other than that, we have been blessed with a very easy pregnancy.

Other family things on our list: we got our Christmas tree last night. It's sitting undecorated in the living room right now. I spent my energy today in Tampa and at Home Depot, and neither Mike or myself wanted to pull out decorations or lights. We'll get them up tomorrow. And yes, I'll post those pictures too :).

So, we're now starting bets on who Anna Kate looks like.....
