Please keep in your prayers my sister Maureen and her hubbie Brennan. They are evacuating their MS Gulf Coast home today and heading to Jackson ahead of Hurricane Gustav.

Singing in the Rain

With TS Fay a distant memory, I found these cute pictures of Anna Kate playing in the rain on my digital camera. She loves water any way she can get it. LOVED playing in the rain. Cried when we had to go inside.

BTW, we got really lucky when it came to TS Fay. She she made landfall and went towards the east, we got some of the bands and very windy, but just 10 miles to the east of us got *slammed*. All sorts of power outages and lots of damage. Not here. Lights flickered a few times, but nothing major. When she came back across the state, we got even more rain again (total of 6 inches) and wind. And that was it. Very lucky that it wasn't any worse that that.

1st Day of Mother's Morning Out

Last Monday was a big day for Anna Kate! It was her first day at Mother's Morning Out. We've been on the wait list for this program since Anna Kate was born and finally got in this year!! These are not the best pictures...Anna Kate didn't want to stand still for the pictures---she was ready to see where all the kids were going! It was rather anti-climatic when we got to her room....she walked right in and didn't even look back. I can't say I was upset (especially since she wasn't upset!) but walked back to my car somewhat happy yet sad. Only a few more years before she will be going to school for good. Then I was off to do my errands for the day. Picked Anna Kate around lunch, and she had the best nap she had in months! I love MMO!!!

Ok, only a redneck would like their kid play in the front flower bed sprinklers in the PJ top and a diaper. Call it like I see it!!

We love Publix!

If you are lucky enough to live where you can shop Publix, you know what I mean! All I can say is that I LOVE the *free cookies* kids get in from the bakery. Keeps the peace while shopping, or at least for half the grocery trip. The second thing I love is the forward facing grocery carts. Anna Kate isn't a fan of facing backwards, so the forward facing ones are awesome! And what is this, you ask? It's RAINBOW BREAD! made fresh in the bakery! It's white bread with color swirls...great for kids! Anna Kate loved her first peanut butter sandwich with this bread :).

Helping mama?

Yes, that's a child-friendly rosary that Anna Kate is wearing. She prefers to wear it around her neck....

Playdate Fun!
