We're still here....

It has been a while, I know, since our last posts. Even though Anna Kate is keeping us busy, it's not necessarily stuff that makes blog-worthy topics. We have been FREEZING lately all the way down here with the artic-like temps!! It's dropped below freezing for the past 3 nights--coldest weather since the 80s!! No kidding. And by this weekend, it should go back into the low 70s.

Anna Kate and I both are fighting colds with the warm-cold-warm-REALLY cold weather lately. Nothing too bad, but enough to slow us down. We have decided that our pirate ship isn't going to take sail during the annual Gasparilla Children's Fest either on Saturday :(. As much as we were looking forward to it, we know it's not the best thing for us. So our pirate friends will have to swob the deck or plunder for treasure without us :(. We've already marked the calendar for next year when we will have TWO pirate lasses to walk the plank!

Hard to believe that we are now moving into single digit weekends before Baby Girl Alexandra will make her grand entrance into the world!! This pregnancy has gone by SO QUICKLY I just don't know where it's gone. Anna Kate has been a great distracter and definitely don't have the time to just sit and wait :). She still hasn't completely grasped the concept of a new baby, although she will pat my belly and say "Baby Alex." For a better view, she will try to pull up my shirt or dress and peer from below to see if she can actually see something. Yeah, really funny, especially when we're in public.

Here's to a relaxing weekend and quick recovery of the colds!! Hopefully more to blog about next weekend!

Looking back over the blog I realized I had not posted these pictures from Christmas! Anna Kate is leading, err, being led, by Ginger, Uncle Daniel and Aunt Tori's dog. Ginger is a very affectionate beagle and Anna Kate had a ball playing with her! As you can see, both girls had a good time!!

Good bye...

Good bye, crib! HELLO BIG GIRL BED! Ok, so it's a toddler bed, but to Miss Priss this is a big girl bed! Since Christmas, she has been able to scale her crib and we knew this wasn't safe. So we pulled the toddler bed into the nursery for a few days. Like most toddlers, there was some adjustment, but she's doing great. The toddler bed is now in Anna Kate's room! The nursery is now being set for Baby Alexandra. Last night was Anna Kate's first night in the her own room and she did great!! We're almost finished with her room and will have pictures to post---of both the girls' rooms--very shortly!

Is this my color??

Does this mascara bring out the color in my eyes??? Yes, Anna Kate has learned to twist open my make up products, including my mascara. She decided she wanted to test it out to see how it looks on her :).

WE HAVE A DATE!!!!

Granted with this pregnancy, it has been a planned section from the very start. So today when I had my 26 week check up, I asked him about his new surgery day and what to expect this time. Dr. B now does his c-sections on Tuesday, and said "since this is a planned one, let's aim for April 7!" With Anna Kate, we didn't get a confirmation on the date until 10 days prior, so I was shocked (and very pleased!) to get a specific date.

Dr. B is happy with my progress, said the baby sounds great with a 155 heart rate, my low blood pressure (if you knew the kind of morning I had I am shocked it was low!) and said Baby Girl is measuring alot like her sister....ahead of schedule! I go back the week of my birthday for the wonderful glucose testing. I've adjusted the ticker so it gives the (new) correct date for her big debut!

Prayers for Grandpa Sonny

It's been right at a year since we found out about Mike's dad's cancers. Today, he is in surgery, hopefully to remove the last tumors that the past few months of chemo have been able to shrink. Please keep Frank in your thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery and quick recovery!

We're on Skype.....

Santa brought us a webcam and we now have a skype account. If you also "skype," let us know so we can add you to our contacts and share our account with you! We won't have the camera up and running before Tuesday, but would love to chat with you if you do!
