Here we are at Day 1 of hurricane season and we have our SECOND named storm. As most Floridians admit, TS Barry is a welcomed storm. We desperately need the rain!!! There is Tropical Storm inland warnings for us, so it will be a wet, wet, wet weekend for us. We are 5-6 inches below normal and might get up to 3 inches with this storm. Yippeee!
Later this evening the winds should be picking up, but nothing that we can't handle. Dixie on the other hand will be sure to let us know---and the entire neighborhood---that the winds have arrived.
Once the heavier weather passed us earlier in the day, Mike, Anna Kate and I spent the afternoon at a hurricane expo. No kidding, we came home with four bags of info! Quite a bit of reading material for the next little bit, but all of it helpful.
