Checking in...

Hope everybody is doing well this Monday. It is absolutely beautiful weather here in Central Florida! This is what fall weather is supposed to be like! Upper 70s-Low 80s, sunny, and not a cloud in the sky! A cold front is moving through later this week and we will be in the low 70s! Talk about glorious weather! Sure you don't want to come for a visit? PERFECT time to do so!!

Anna Kate turns NINE months old this Wednesday. I can't believe it. Only three months before this lil ladybug turns a YEAR old! Where has this time gone? So here's what going on with Miss Lil Anna Kate:

  • She is on the verge of Teeth #3 AND #4--her upper front teeth look to be cutting at the same time. Her bottom two did the same thing. As much as teething is for the birds, at least we are doing double time by having two come in at the same time.
  • Anna Kate is 30 inches tall and weighs 23 lbs and 14 oz. I think it's safe to say this child hasn't inherited ANY of my petite genes (thank goodness!!). She definite looks older than a nine month old baby!
  • She's wearing 12 months now, but not for much longer. Most of her "winter" (a term we use loosely here in Florida) are 18 months.
  • Anna Kate is crawling up a storm! Can't keep this girl back! And she's can maneuver quite well in her walker. Dixie looses more of her territory on a daily basis. Anna Kate has learned where her bottle is prepared, and wheels around to the kitchen and then waits. She is also tall enough to watch the outside from her walker. Loves to watch the kids from neighborhood play ball outside in the afternoons.
  • She is also isn't a picky either. She will pretty much eat any fruit or vegetable that is in her bowl. We've ventured outside the standard fruit (bananas, applesauce, etc) to try some passion fruit--guava and mangos. And she seems to like it (no faces or tries to spit it out). Next week she'll be trying her first round of mixed fruit samples. So far, so good!
  • Mike moved her bed to the last rung on the crib! About 3 weeks ago he moved it from the first to the third when she started pulling up. Because when she stood up, she was way more than head and shoulders over the rail, we moved it down (again) so it hits her about chin level. Don't have to worry about this lil one going over, unless she learns to scale the railings---at least for a few more months.
  • Has a mountain of toys on her Wish List from Santa :). We'll see how much he brings her.

That's about it for Anna Kate. Mike and I are doing well, thank you for asking ;P.
